HEAD GROOMER
Kristen Pedelty has always known she wanted to work with animals. That became a reality in 2014 when she started working for a local animal shelter. While working there she learned patience, love and compassion towards all pets. She started grooming in 2021 and instantly fell in love with making pets look good while putting their comfort and safety first.
Kristen has been with Paws at the Lake since we opened in September 2023. She holds multiple certifications and is passionate about continuing education, frequently attending live and online seminars. Kristen enjoys grooming doodles and corgis.
Kristen lives in Mason City with her husband and son, their three dogs, and one cat. In her free time she enjoys bird watching, being in nature, reading, and spending time with family.
Lizzie Castillo has always had a passion for animals and started grooming in 2018. She enjoys helping the animals she works with look and feel amazing. From nail clipping to bathing to full grooms, Lizzie has the experience to make your pets grooming experience a great one.
Lizzie joined us in January 2024. She loves learning new techniques and utilizing new products to enhance her grooming skills. Lizzie specializes in performing deshedding treatments.
Lizzie lives in Mason City with her husband, kids, three dogs, and a cat. She has a blended family and loves spending as much time with them as she can. Although she likes all breeds, her favorite dog is the bull dog.
For Rachel, grooming has become a passion in her life. She loves all animals but has always been particularly drawn to dogs which is apparent at her home where she has two pomskies (Lilo and Stitch), a toy Aussie (Pickles), a chihuahua yorkie (Blaze), and a cat (Bindi).
Rachel joined Paws at the Lake in April, 2024. She started in a corporate salon and has since worked in various grooming environments, even owning her own boarding and grooming business. Rachel enjoys scissor work and sculpting especially on double coated breeds.
Rachel lives in Forest City with her children. She likes to travel and go to concerts, but in her free time she really just enjoys being with her children and making memories.
Becky is a passionate dog groomer dedicated to helping every dog look and feel their very best. She is proud to be an AKC Certified Groomer, always prioritizing your dog’s safety, comfort, and well-being with every session.
Dogs have been a lifelong part of her journey. She's had the joy of sharing her home with many breeds over the years, each one leaving a special mark on my heart. Her love for animals extends beyond work with her son living nearby with her grand-dogs, Mia & Royal. Becky's parents’ dog, June, has made her an honorary member of her pack. Becky has an adopted 10-year-old cat (Piper), a 5-month-old cat that adopted her (Tabatha), and a 50-gallon aquarium with a variety of fish at her home.
Becky moved to Clear Lake in 2022, where she enjoys fishing, bird watching, gardening, and spending meaningful time with friends and family. I'm also proud to be a member of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, alongside my son, who is a talented pastry chef.
