Stacy Nelson
Stacy co-founded Paws at the Lake with her husband, Tony, in September 2023 with the goal of creating a one-stop destination where pets and their families feel welcome. As the owner, Stacy wears many hats and can often be found helping throughout the store, but she's usually the friendly face or voice you'll first meet when you stop in or call to schedule an appointment.
Stacy and Tony have a blended family of six children, ranging in age from 10 to 26. At home, they're kept busy by their two dogs, Cola, a long-haired miniature Dachshund, and Loki, a German Wirehaired Pointer. Outside of work, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and tackling home improvement projects.
Hannah Humberg
Hannah is the talented baker behind all of the delicious treats at Paws at the Lake—better known as our treat maker! She creates our homemade flavored dog treats, hand-decorated bakery goodies, and custom birthday cakes for pets. Hannah loves bringing creative ideas to life, so if you have a special request or celebration in mind, she'd be happy to help make it happen.
Hannah lives in Clear Lake with her husband, her dog, Gunner, and her two cats, Snickers and Smores. When she's not baking treats for four-legged friends, she works full-time as a dispatcher for the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Office.
Amy Wagler
Amy is one of the friendly faces you'll see throughout the week at Paws at the Lake. She helps check clients out, schedules grooming appointments, and assists with the many day-to-day tasks that keep the store running smoothly. Her warm personality and caring nature make her a wonderful resource for both our clients and their pets.
Before joining our team, Amy spent 23 years as a kindergarten teacher with the Clear Lake Community School District, where she developed a passion for helping others and building meaningful relationships. Her love for animals has always been just as strong.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking, walking her two dogs, and riding her horse, Bones. She also shares her home with two cats. Amy and her husband have three children, three grandchildren, and are excited to welcome another grandchild soon.
Athena Hart
Athena joined the Paws at the Lake team in the fall of 2025 and is always happy to help answer questions and make every client's visit a great experience. She is currently attending NIACC, where she is pursuing a degree in Small Business.
A lifelong animal lover, Athena shares her home with three cats—Winston, Stewart, and Arnold—and her poodle, Jack. Outside of work and school, she enjoys baking, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her friends and family.
